If you are the group admin
You did not sign up to be the society's repair directory, but that is what the WhatsApp group made you. Someone needs a plumber at 9pm, five people reply with five numbers, two of them are wrong, and the argument about who was overcharged lands on you the next morning. This page is the partner-facing side of our society maintenance plans; the plans page is what residents see.
What the society admin gets
- One WhatsApp line. A named person on our team for your society. Not a bot, not a call centre. If a kaarigar did not show up or a resident is unhappy, you message that one person and it is handled.
- A society landing page and code. A page for your society that residents open from the pinned message, and a code they use when they post a job, so we know the job came from your society.
- A monthly summary. How many jobs were posted, which trades, how many were completed, any complaints and how they ended. One message, once a month, that you can forward to the committee.
What residents get
- Post a repair job free, in English, Roman Urdu or Urdu, with a photo
- Registered kaarigars whose CNIC our team has checked send their own price; the resident chooses
- Price agreed before anyone comes to the gate
- The 48-hour cover: same fault back within 48 hours and the same kaarigar returns without charging labour again
- Over time, a list of kaarigars your own residents rated well, so the society builds its own trusted circle

What we ask
- Pin our society page in the group, and let us put a small QR at the gate or notice board
- Ten minutes on WhatsApp once a month to go through the summary
- Tell us when something goes wrong. We would rather hear it from you than from nobody
What it costs
Nothing, for the society or the residents. Mechanics4U is free for customers. The kaarigar quotes, the resident agrees, and the resident pays the kaarigar directly. We do not take a cut from the customer and we do not charge the society. Kaarigars pay their own registration, free for the first hundred and PKR 500 after.
Mechanics4U is a marketplace, not a maintenance contractor. Kaarigars are independent; they quote and do the work. Our job is to check who they are, keep the record of the job, and stand behind the 48-hour cover.
