Who can leave a review
Only a customer who booked a job on Mechanics4U, had that job marked complete, and is rating the kaarigar who did it. One review per job. You cannot review a kaarigar you did not hire through the platform. Kaarigars cannot rate customers publicly, but they can report a customer to support. See the Safety page.
What a good review contains
Stars from one to five and, if you like, a few honest words about the job: was the kaarigar on time, was the price as agreed, did the fix hold. Stick to the job. Do not include phone numbers, addresses, CNIC numbers or photos of people who did not agree to appear.
What we remove
- Fake reviews. A review from an account that never booked the job, or from the kaarigar's own family or friends, or from a competitor.
- Paid or traded reviews. A review given in return for money, a discount, a gift or another review. Both the writer and the kaarigar who arranged it can lose their accounts.
- Abusive reviews. Threats, insults about a person's family, religion, ethnicity, language, gender or looks, or anything the law of Pakistan forbids.
- Off-topic reviews. Complaints about Mechanics4U itself, about a different kaarigar, or about something unrelated to the job. Send those to support instead.
- Private information. Phone numbers, addresses, CNIC details, or photos of people without consent.
- Reviews under pressure. If a kaarigar demands five stars before finishing the work, tell us. We remove the review and warn the kaarigar.
We do not remove a review just because it is negative. A low rating with a true reason stays.
How a kaarigar can respond
A kaarigar can post one public reply under any review of their work. Keep it short and polite. Explain your side. Do not post the customer's number or address. Do not threaten. A reply that breaks these rules is removed and counts against the kaarigar. If a kaarigar believes a review is fake or abusive, they can report it to support@mechanics4u.com with the job reference. We read the chat and the job record and decide within a few working days.
Changing or removing your own review
A customer can edit their review, for example after a return visit under the 48-hour cover fixed the fault. A customer can also delete their own review. Deleting your account removes your reviews as well. See Delete my data.
How ratings affect a profile
The average rating and the number of completed jobs appear on the public profile. Higher ratings and fewer no-shows rank higher when a job is matched. We never sell a higher position.
