What the identity badge on a kaarigar profile means, what it does not mean, and what gets a profile removed.

In short: Before a kaarigar goes live, a person on our team looks at both sides of their CNIC and their face photo. The badge means that check was done. It does not mean we tested their skill. There is no online NADRA check. The CNIC image is never public.

What the check is

Every kaarigar gives their name, mobile number, city and a photo of the front and the back of their CNIC. They also upload a face photo. The account starts as pending. A person on our team opens the two card photos and the face photo in our admin panel and compares them with the name on the account. If they match, the account goes live and the profile shows the identity badge. If they do not match, or a photo is unreadable, we ask for a better photo or we reject the application.

The badge is placed by a person. It never appears automatically. See the Privacy policy for how CNIC images are stored and who can open them.

What the check is not

What we check again

We can ask a kaarigar to re-confirm identity at any time, for example if a customer reports that a different person turned up, or if a profile photo changes and no longer matches the card. Until they do, the profile can be hidden.

What gets a profile removed

We tell the kaarigar the reason by email or WhatsApp. They can reply to support@mechanics4u.com and we will look again. A removed kaarigar's CNIC images are deleted with the account.

What a customer should do at the door

Check that the person matches the profile name and face photo. If you are not sure, ask to see their CNIC. A real kaarigar will not mind. If the person does not match, do not let them in, and report it in the app or on WhatsApp. More steps are on the Safety page.
