- ✓ Same fault, within 48 hours
- ✓ Same kaarigar returns, no labour charge
- ✓ Or a replacement kaarigar at no cost
- ✓ Parts separate
Exactly what is covered
- The same fault. The thing you booked the job for, fixed, and then it came back. The AC that stopped cooling again, the tap that leaks again, the car that will not start again.
- Within 48 hours of the job being marked done in the app.
- The same kaarigar returns and puts it right with no labour charge. You do not pay for the visit or the work.
- Parts are separate. If the fix needs a new part, you pay for the part, at a price told to you before it is fitted.
- If the same kaarigar cannot come in a reasonable time, we send a replacement kaarigar at no cost to you for that fault.
- Jobs booked through Mechanics4U, with a job reference in the app.
What is not covered
- A different fault. If the AC was fixed for gas and now the fan motor has gone, that is a new job. The kaarigar will usually quote you a fair price for it since they are already familiar with the unit.
- Damage after the job: a power surge, a flood, someone else opening it up.
- Parts you supplied yourself.
- Jobs arranged directly with the kaarigar, off the platform, without a job reference.
- Faults reported after the 48 hours have passed.
- Work the kaarigar told you in the chat was temporary or not guaranteed, for example a patch on a part that really needs replacing.
How to claim
Tell us inside the 48 hours
WhatsApp 0313 2813999 or email support@mechanics4u.com. Send the job reference (it is on the job in the app), one line on what came back, and a photo or short video if you can.
Job reference, ek line, ek photo.
We contact the kaarigar
A person on our team messages the kaarigar the same day and arranges the return visit with you, usually the same day or the next. You do not have to chase them yourself.
Hum kaarigar se baat karte hain.
Fixed, no labour charge
The kaarigar puts it right. If a part is needed, you are told the price first and pay only for the part. If the kaarigar cannot come, we send a replacement at no cost.
Kaam theek, labour free.
What happens next
After the return visit, mark the job done again in the app and, if you like, update your review. If the fault comes back a second time, message us again; at that point we look at whether the kaarigar has diagnosed it correctly and may send a different kaarigar. Kaarigars who refuse a fair re-work drop in the rankings and, if it repeats, are removed. Most never need reminding; they come back because the review and the next job depend on it.
Why we can promise this
Mechanics4U is a marketplace. The kaarigar does the work and you pay the kaarigar directly; we take no cut from the customer today. What we do is check who the kaarigar is: every one has both sides of their CNIC on file, looked at by a person on our team, and a name, number and city we can reach. That is what lets us get them back to your door.
The full legal wording of the cover, including how disputes are decided, is in the guarantee terms. This page explains it in plain words; if the two ever differ, the terms apply.
Questions people ask
When do the 48 hours start?
From the moment the job is marked done in the app. If you did not mark it done, from the time the kaarigar reported finishing. Tell us as soon as the fault returns; do not wait for hour 47.
Are parts covered?
No. The cover is for labour. If the re-work needs a new part, the kaarigar tells you the part price before fitting it and you pay only for the part. If the part they fitted the first time was faulty, ask them; most kaarigars replace their own faulty parts without argument, and we will help you ask.
What if the kaarigar does not answer?
Message us. If we cannot get the same kaarigar to you within a reasonable time, we send a replacement kaarigar for that fault at no labour cost to you.
Does it apply if I booked the kaarigar directly after the first job?
No. The cover applies to jobs booked through Mechanics4U with a job reference. A job you arranged by calling the kaarigar yourself has no reference and we cannot act on it.
Does the kaarigar pay for this?
The kaarigar returns without charging labour; that is part of being on Mechanics4U. Mechanics4U is a marketplace, the kaarigar does the work, and you paid the kaarigar directly for the original job.
What if I disagree with the kaarigar about whether it is the same fault?
Send us photos or a short video and the job reference. A person on the team looks at both sides and decides. Where it is genuinely unclear, we lean towards the customer.
