Gas geyser vs electric geyser repair cost in Pakistan (2026): who to call and what it costs

A gas geyser is plumber work: the burner, the pilot, the thermocouple, the gas line and the water connections. An electric geyser's element and thermostat are electrician work, while its water fittings and any relocation are plumber work. A new geyser install, gas or electric, is PKR 2,500 - 5,000 for about 2 hours.

A burner, thermocouple, element or thermostat is worth fixing. A tank that leaks from the body, or a very old geyser that scales up every season, is usually better replaced; the install labour is the same either way and the new unit uses less gas or electricity. Ask the kaarigar for both prices in the same quote.
